The Belgian association of metal distributors strengthens its management team with the arrival of Chetan Corten as its new Director. With his experience and collaborative approach, the federation looks forward to a future of cooperation and growth.
Belmetal is delighted to announce the appointment of Chetan Corten as its new Director. In his new role, he will work alongside Dominique Laurent, who is retiring in October 2026. Chetan will report to the Board of Directors and will work closely with the wider network to steer the federation into its next phase.
With his experience in stakeholder management and cross-sector collaboration, Chetan brings a unifying and forward-looking perspective. His appointment comes at an important moment: Belmetal is reaffirming its role as a federation that brings together companies in the metal sector and amplifies their voice.
‘I am honoured to be part of an organisation that so strongly supports its members in the metal sector,’ says Chetan. ‘Like the alloys that characterise our industry, Belmetal's strength lies in connection. My goal is to strengthen that collaboration and keep our association future-proof.’
According to Chair Vanessa Espeel, his arrival marks a new chapter for the organisation: ‘With Chetan, we are committed to dialogue, cooperation and collective strength. Together, we will continue to build on the value and impact of our sector.’
