After 15 active years as director general of Eurometal, Georges Kirps leaves the helm to his successor, Daniel Guinabert.
The Luxemburger Georges Kirps, has been the personification of Eurometal for many years. He has shared his extraordinary knowledge of steel distribution in all corners of Europe as a guest speaker at all kinds of colloquia or as the organiser of numerous steel distribution events, including his own events: Steel Net Forum and the various regional meetings Eurometal organises for steel service centres and traders.
On April 1, 2019, Georges has handed over the reins to a successor from the same ArcelorMittal team as himself: the Frenchman Daniel Guinabert, who was already a member of the Eurometal Presidency. Georges will still remain active at Eurometal for a short while, so as to guide Daniel in his first months of job-exploration.
Belmetal expresses its appreciation for the work Georges Kirps has accomplished for Eurometal and wishes Daniel Guinabert every success in his new position.
