In addition to federal and regional support measures, the Social Fund of metal distribution (PSC 149.04) pays all blue collar workers in our sector an additional allowance in the event of temporary unemployment due to force majeure. This additional allowance of €12.70/day (6 days/week) comes in addition to the unemployment benefit and the additional allowance of €5.63/day granted by the government.
Workers who have been placed on temporarily unemployed after March 1, 2020 do not have to apply for this additional benefit. The payments will be made automatically on the basis of the data flows that the Social Fund of the PSC 149.04 receives from the RVA/ONEM.
However, such payments can only be released when the Social Fund has the correct bank account number of the concerned worker. This account number must be passed on to the Social Fund by following this link: https://www.sefocam.be/bankaccount.
