At the joint invitation of the Dutch Staalfederatie and Belmetal, no less than 14 European national steel distribution federations met by videoconference to discuss the very important subject of a possible common approach to certain European and supranational issues.
After two speakers from the steel world, Kris Van Ginderdeuren and Stefan Müller-Bernhardt, shared their own experience of the "European machine", a very open discussion took place between the federations from 12 different European countries.
Although it will undoubtedly take some time before the entire European steel distribution manages to speak with one voice, the European steel distribution federations expressed their willingness to improve exchanges and cooperation in this respect.
